theres something to be said about having kids old enough to stay home while the adults have a date
we hit a fresh little seafood joint where the lobster, crab and sushi rolls was were it was at
as far as the rest.. u had to really like dry tastless food.
we celebrated kelly and heaths aniversary driving the town too close to cars looking for dessert.
during the days we built huge sand castles
and ohhed and awed over grandpa sitting in the sand.
the kids loved watching the sea otter
and jace surfed or skate boarded as he liked to call it
our family hot tub pic
and then the races begin
MADDY won the gold in the kids races that girl can fly!
BRET won the gold in the mens
and the girls is debateable depends on what judge your asking...
our last night we had FAMILY PICS
we missed tink it just wasnt the same with out him!
then put the little ones to bed and the ladies hit the dance floor at our hotel

Man, you are on it with the posting! I think you guys ended summer with the perfect trip! I am sure there is not one dull moment when it comes to spending time with your family. There's no place better than the beach too! GREAT PICS!!!
I LOVE the new family pics. You wild carded perfectly and the layering and colors are perfection, not to mention the beautiful/handsome people in the photos! YOu look so pretty! Im wondering if that foot I see in the race photo that is clearly in first place is yours...probably good their was not games with goalees and fences:) We need to get Dallas and Dax all grown up so the can babysit on vacation for us, that sounds heavenly.

Jamie, I have waited for California for a year and now it is a blog. How did that week go so fast? Thank you for all you did to make our trip fun. I love the family picture, the colors and the cute brown faces. Our family pictures for the book were great. But most of all thank you for being so up beat, fun, and positive. I love you! Mary, that foot was NOT hers!!! It happened to be her big sisters this time. I know it is hard to believe that Jamie lost at something, and yes it was contraversial but just ask Matt, I won fair and square. I guess I will just have to do it again next year to prove it.
Oh the new family pics are GORGEOUS!! You all are so tan! Lookin perfect in every way and I love everything you picked (jaces shirt esp!)
Also think the hot tub pic of all of you is pretty phenomenal and I am hoping you got some video footage of the women's race because I think a little instant replay could solve the who really won mystery. What a crazy fun family you have!
