we got dax in soccer & i just couldn't Waite to see him
out there being rough and tough!
we showed up to our first game and the whole time
i watched, my heart died as he tryed his very hardest to
keep up with the stud of the team.
slowly excitement turned to tears
and the kid was done playing
some how we made it through the game
and after we climbed in the car and things were
quite he explained to me
" i was trying so hard but he was so fast"

all im saying is

we went and got a soccer ball after that game

and as soon as the sun peaks through all this rain

me and him are going to have some serious soccer time

(uncle heath any helpful hinters are welcome)

and just Waite next game he is going to be a

Next time it is going to be alot of other kids in tears because Dax is such a stud! He's probably just bugged that he can't use all his tackeling and throwing and catching skills! Can't wait to hear about the next game....GO DAX!

Oh my gosh... it's not easy (for both the Mom and the kids) being thrown into these dang sporting events... I read that and my heart broke... I know Dax and his Mom and I know between the two of you that team will be chanting DAX DAX DAX... by the end of the season. Your both your Determined Heart and your Athletic Skills that kids is set for life!
I Loved how you went out and got the ball and are ready for a little one on one time. If only we took everything in life with this kind of Additude we would all be set!
Wish I could peak in on you two practicing!
I'll get uncle Heath to come up with a few pointers. He will feel so LOVED that he got some Props in your blog.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GET Em Dax!
We Love You!!!

Oh do I know that all too well. I think he was just missing his little brother out there. Once him and Jace are playing together they wont be stopped. Bring him by and play in our side yard. My kids would love to play soccer with them.

Oh & Maybe its a good thing that Matt is in Pheonix during the games. It would probablly really frusterate him. Jason can't take any tears when my kids are playing and it can get brutal.

If Dax shows that kind of determination he won't need any tips from me. Reminds me of a certain PHS soccer player. Always on the go, always physical, always fast and always smart, always thinking 2 or 3 moves down the line. He already has the vision to be great, he'll figure out how to compete. It's in the genes. The best thing you can do is continue to let him love playing. If that means helping him get better... a little dribbling, a little shooting at a goal and wind sprints, some pushups, situps and pull ups will help. Oatmeal for breakfast. Carrots for lunch and a high protein dinner. Early to bed, early to rise. A good pair of cleats and shin guards. Teach some header skills and throw ins. Heck, what am I saying... you were the best soccer player Provo High ever had, you know what he needs.
Love ya, Uncle Heath

Dax,

Don't listen to Uncle Heath. If you follow his instructions you will never catch that fast kid. Next time just poke him in the eyes and punch him in the crotch!!!
