my goal going into this bad boy was to beat 2 hrs..
but going into the race it changed to just doing it and finishing.
i got pretty sick the week before but luckly i had these too to get me threw it.
the night before we carbed up at olive garden (thx mare)
after driving to tucson and back, getting lost, having the wrong badges, following a bus and calling sarah a few hundred times we finnaly made it.
it was a party in the port a potty lines that we may have jumped back in forth from a few times :)
the fire works shot off and the race begin..
we stayed together the first 6 and then we slowly split up.
luckly i made this buddy who talked me threw the last mile, and i loved him for it.
its amazing what someone elses words can do, by him simlpy telling me i could do it... I DID.
and here we all are AT THE FINISH LINE!
angie met our goal of 2 hrs and leanne was close behind, gorgia and sarah were awesome for gorgia only being 12 and doing her first!! my favorite part of the whole thing was hearing sarah scream and cheer with all the people on the sidelines!! I brought up the rear at 215.. yes my WORST time ever but i finished the bad boy and im pretty proud about doing just that.
next race, is going to include a trip of some sort!!!

You did a good job! The runner in us is always harder on ourselves! Next time you'll rock the 2 hour mark for sure! Oh, and cute running gear by the way!

You are amazing, you have run after major sickness twice now and both times did amazing! I love how you make buddies everywhere u go, remember cross dude? So proud of you and I promise I will get my self in shape so I can do the next one with u, cuz that was fun!:)

i can't believe i missed this post!!! You girls ROCK!!! I love it when a boring (sorry) race turns into a crazy fun sweatin it out before it even starts adventure!!!! Sounds like the funniest good time ever and I can't even believe you did it so fast. You are awesome. and not surprised you found a mystery buddy to see you through to the end:)
